Fertilization and Weed Control

It is with great pleasure that Accent Mowing is announcing the addition of our new Fertilization Division. Accent Mowing is a full service lawn and landscape maintenance company that did not previously provide fertilization and/or weed control. We are frequently asked to provide these additional services. With much deliberation, Accent Mowing is now providing a full spectrum of chemical and organic fertilization programs. Accent Mowing is now your “One Stop” lawn service company.

Upon you request, Accent Mowing will offer a “Free” lawn and landscape analysis without obligation. Our nine point inspection will include a thorough walk-through process for weeds, insect and disease problems. Pilar Hernandez (TDA #0359481), our fertilization specialist, will go over this inspection with you to help determine the course of action needed. We will personalize a treatment program for your property, advise you on additional services such as tree and shrub care, aeration, grub control, fire ant control and deep-root feeding for your trees.

Accent Mowing is always trying to improve the look of your lawn and landscape. We have added a Fertilization Division that will do exactly that. These services will provide traditional chemical programs with weed control, as well as organic options for those who want to stay green. Accent Mowing is a locally owned family lawn care business that strives to provide quality services at a reasonable, or competitive, cost to our customers.

We offer the following 8-step Lawn Program:

WINTER
A liquid pre and post-emergent application will be applied to the lawn. This is going to help control the winter grasses and broadleaf weeds.

EARLY SPRING
A granular fertilizer with potassium, magnesium and sulphur will be applied. This will stimulate the root system and help the lawn come out of dormancy. We also spot treat broadleaf weeds with a post-emergent weed control.

SPRING
A slow release granular fertilizer with micro and macro-nutrients will be applied to your lawn. This will prepare the lawn for summer conditions. We also spot treat both grassy and broadleaf weeds with a liquid post-emergent weed control.

EARLY SUMMER
A balanced granular and/or liquid slow release fertilizer will be applied to your lawn. We also will treat both grassy and broadleaf weeds as needed.

SUMMER
A balanced granular and/or liquid slow release fertilizer will be applied to your lawn. We also will treat both grassy and broadleaf weeds as needed.

LATE SUMMER
A balanced granular slow release fertilizer with a pre-emergent will be applied to help control cool weather grassy and broadleaf weeds. We also spot treat existing broadleaf and grassy weeds with a post emergent as needed.

FALL
A special granular fertilizer will be applied to your lawn that will promote root growth, food storage and prepare for winter conditions. We also spot treat existing broadleaf weeds with a post-emergent as needed.

WINTER
A liquid pre and post-emergent application will be applied to your lawn. This will help control winter grasses and broadleaf weeds.

We offer the following 8-step Tree and Shrub Program:

ROUND 1- HORTICULTURAL OIL
A dormant oil will be applied to your landscape. This will help control overwintering insect eggs. It will also prevent scale and larvae from damaging your landscape.

ROUND 2- SOIL AMENDMENT
Molasses, vitamins and hormones will be applied to help recover from winter stress and encourage micro-activity in the soil.

ROUND 3 – ORGANIC LIQUID FERTILILZER
An organic fertilizer with micro-macro nutrients to promote leaf growth and enhance color will be applied. We will inspect landscape for insect and disease problems and treat accordingly.

ROUND 4 – ORGANIC GRANULAR FERTILIZER
An organic granular fertilizer with micro-macro nutrients will be applied. We will inspect for insect and disease problems and treat accordingly.

ROUND 5 – SUMMER FERTILIZER
A liquid organic fertilizer with molasses will be applied to the landscape. We will inspect landscape for insect and disease problems and treat accordingly.

ROUND 6 – INSECT AND DISEASE CONTROL
An organic liquid fertilizer plus molasses for insect and disease control will be applied to protect your landscape from summer stress and will promote root penetration and green up.

ROUND 7 – SOIL AMENDMENT
A granular fertilizer with micro-macro nutrients will be added to your landscape. This will stimulate micro-organisms in the soil and prepare root system for winter.

ROUND 8 – HORTICULTURAL OIL
A dormant oil will be applied to your landscape. This will help control overwintering insect eggs. It will prevent scale and larvae from damaging your landscape.
